
Obituary for Albert A. Martin
Rockford - Albert A. Martin, 68, of Rockford, died Sunday, November 22, 2015, in Medina Nursing Center, Durand. Born April 14, 1947, in Rockford, the son of Kenneth and June E. (Brown) Martin. Graduated from Belleville High School in 1965 and Southwestern Illinois College Belleville Campus in 1967. Al married Clarissa Schauer in 1974; later they divorced, but remained very good friends. Always involved with restaurant management, Al was a part of senior management of the Pacific Northwest Burger King franchise, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Rock River Valley Chapter Studebaker Drivers Club. Al loved his collection of cars and going to the car shows. In addition, he was computer savvy in all aspects.
Al is lovingly survived by his son, Kenneth (Tania) Martin of Beaverton, OR; grandchildren, Jonathan Martin, Joseph Cook and Elexis Martin of Beaverton; and dear friends, Roger and Chris Stambaugh and Joe Orlandi. He was predeceased by his parents and former wife, Clarissa, on March 28, 2015.

Service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2015, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time; the Rev. Larry Moody, pastor of Burritt Community Church, Rockford, will officiate. Burial in North Burritt Cemetery, Winnebago
