
LOVING HUSBAND, BROTHER, UNCLE, FRIEND AND RN
Roscoe - Albert "Al" L. Turner, 58, of Roscoe, formerly of Seward, died Friday, April 11, 2014, in Rockford Memorial Hospital, surrounded by family, friends and loving co-workers. Born December 28, 1955, in Rockford, the son of Paul R. and Theo Irene (Hatfield) Turner. Graduated from Winnebago High School in 1974. He graduated from Rockford Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1984 and nursed in Rockford Memorial Hospital's Cath Lab for 25 years. Al married Marilyn (Czarny) Pipis on October 8, 2011, in Clock Tower Inn, Rockford. His passion was nursing, always willing to be on call, and he also enjoyed woodworking, traveling, fishing, and playing ball with his golden retriever, Bailey.
Al is lovingly survived by his wife, Marilyn; sisters, Paulette (Bill) Matthews of Norfork, Ark. and Lois (Jerry) Davis of Egan; stepchildren, Chris (Nissy), Greg and Stefanie Pipis; nieces Tracy (David) Sullins and Jamie Davis; nephews, Mark (Jennifer) Matthews and Jeremy (Stefanie) Davis; great-niece, Reagan; great-nephews, Rian, Aeden, Caleb, Sam and Tucker; namesake, Turner Craig; dear friends, Michael Paslay and Richard Froman; several aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his parents.
Funeral Information
Service is at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2014, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago. Burial in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery, Pecatonica. Visitation 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2014, in the funeral home.
