Loving Mother & "Nonny"
German Valley - Billie Raye Daniels, 71, of German Valley, died Saturday morning, February 20, 2010, in her home, surrounded by her family, after a short illness. Born August 14, 1938, in Freeport, the daughter of Howard and Mary (Carmody) Wagner. Billie married LaVerne Harold "Vern" Daniels on June 5, 1955 at their family homesite. She farmed along with LaVerne her entire life. Billie enjoyed crafting, including knitting and sewing, besides collecting dolls. She loved being "Nonny" and hosting all the family gatherings, having everyone together for any and all occasions.
Billie is lovingly survived by her children, Diane (Dugan) McCarten of Ridott, Jeffery Daniels of Montana, Scott (Debbie) Daniels of Baileyville and Clayton (Jessica) Daniels of Freeport; grandchildren, Ryan, Shawn, Heather, Tonya, Felicia, Karrie, John and Logan; great-grandchildren, Payton, Cole, Ashley, Jacob, Faith, Alayna and Jayden; siblings, Barbara Anderson of Mount Carroll, James (Joan) Wagner of Freeport, Cal (Anne) Flannery of Hampton, Va. and Dorcas Saupp of Mount Carroll; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, LaVerne Daniels on December 26, 2004.
Funeral Information
Private memorial service will be held at a later date. At Billie's request, cremation rites were accorded.
