Beloved Son, Brother, Grandson, and Nephew
Winnebago - Blake Daniel Nelson, 22, of Winnebago, died Thursday, October 28, 2010, in Rockford Memorial Hospital, of injuries sustained from a car accident. Born November 21, 1987, in Rockford, the son of Daniel Nelson and Cheryl (Towle) Bean. He graduated from Winnebago High School in 2006. Blake was an avid Chicago Bears and White Sox fan, enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved hanging out with his many friends. He was able to donate life through Gift of Hope.
Blake is lovingly survived by his father, Daniel Nelson of Pecatonica; mother, Cheryl (Richard) Bean; best friends, brother and sister, Derek Nelson and Kyah Bean, all of Winnebago; stepbrother, Scott (Julie) Bean of Mukwonago, Wis.; stepsister, Angie Lampe-Maples of Machesney Park; grandparents, Stanley and Anna Nelson of Winnebago, Beverly Towle of Rockford and William Towle of Pecatonica; aunts and uncles, Deb (Wayne) Asplund, Dennis Nelson, Donna Chambers, David Nelson, Diane (Mike) Staab, Sandy Towle, David (Emily) Towle and Josh (Heather) Towle; numerous cousins; and best friend, PFC Randy Brubaker, who is currently serving in Afghanistan.
Blake's family thanks the medical staff in ICU of Rockford Memorial Hospital for their care and support.

Service is at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 2, 2010, in New Life Bible Church, Route 20 at Hoisington Road, Winnebago, with Pastor Tim Spickler officiating. Burial in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery, Pecatonica. Visitation 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 1, 2010, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago.
