Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother
Rockford - Bonita F. "Bonnie" Miller, 87, of Rockford, died early Tuesday morning, June 27, 2006, in Springwood Nursing Rehab, Rockford. Born June 15, 1919, in Lake City, Iowa, the daughter to Stanley and Ethel (Doty) Love. She attended Winnebago High School. Bonnie married Merritt C. Miller on September 2, 1939, in Dubuque, Iowa. He died September 28, 1987. Bonnie lived 45 years in Cherry Valley, coming here from Belvidere. She was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, in Rockford, and of the E.L.C.A. Ladies Society of the church. Bonnie loved children and loved to cook.
Bonnie is lovingly survived by her daughter, Sheryl (Richard) Brennan, of Roscoe, grandsons, Jeffrey (Melissa) Brennan of, Springfield and Chad Brennan, of Indianapolis, Ind., and great-grandsons, Colin and Garrett Brennan, of Springfield.
Bonnie was also predeceased by her parents, three brothers and five sisters.
Funeral Information
A gathering to celebrate Bonnie's life will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 9, 2006, at her daughter's home. At Bonnie's request, cremation rites were accorded.
