Obituary for Carol Ann Bokker
Winnebago - Carol Ann Bokker, 59, of Winnebago, died Wednesday evening, May 7, 2008, in her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born June 24, 1948, in Richland Center, Wis., the daughter of Roland and Edith (Popp) Johnson. She graduated from Kickapoo High School, Viola, Wis., in 1966. Carol married Kenneth H. Bokker on August 26, 1967, in Beloit, Wis. She was an Avon cosmetics sales representative. Carol enjoyed crocheting, gardening, crafts, word search games and going to the casinos. She was a sports fan and avid Chicago White Sox fan. Carol dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Ken Bokker of Winnebago; daughters, Renee (Michael) Storey of Pecatonica and Lucinda "Cyndy" (Fianc Jeffrey Marcello) Bokker of Lombard; grandchildren, Megan, Morgan and Jacob Storey of Pecatonica; brothers, Victor (Verna) Johnson of Viroqua, Wis. and Danny (Stephanie) Johnson of Juneau, Wis.; sisters, Norma (Bill) Kepler of Beloit, Wis. and Janet (Clarence) Chamberlain of Clinton, Wis.; numerous nieces and nephews; dear friend, Sue Streich of Rockford; and special dog and companion, Lucky and granddog, Bella.

Carol was predeceased by her parents.

Her family wishes to thank Rev. Theiss, Linda Black and Northern Illinois Hospice for their care and support during Carol's illness.

Funeral Information

Service is at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 12, 2008, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago, with the Rev. Terry L. Theiss, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, in Pecatonica, officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, in Rockford. Visitation 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, May 11, 2008 in the funeral home.
