Obituary for Charlene R. Froman
Winnebago Charlene R. Froman, 78, of Winnebago, died Monday, July 18, 2016, in her home, with her loving family at her side. Born August 30, 1937, in Streator, the daughter of John J. and Frances A. (Renn) Whalen. She graduated from Woodland High School, Streator, in 1955. Charlene married Kenneth H. Froman on September 17, 1955, in St. Anthony Catholic Church, Streator. They moved to the Winnebago homestead in 1966. Charlene was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Pecatonica. She was a phenomenal cook and baker; creating everyones favorite dishes is how Charlene showed her love. In addition, she enjoyed gardening and dearly loved being with her grandchildren.
Charlene is lovingly survived by her husband, Ken; son, Richard (Cindy) Froman of Roscoe; daughter, Susie Foy of Hoffman Estates; grandchildren, Frank and Matt Foy, and Angie, Kristi and Tyler Froman; brother, John (Christine) Whalen of Streator; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Mary Louise Snow; brother-in-law, Marion Snow; and nephew, Gary Snow.
