
Obituary for Charline F. Minert
Rockford - Charline F. Minert, 91, of Rockford, died Wednesday morning, June 17, 2009, in Alma Nelson-Debes Subacute Complex, in Rockford, after a short illness. Born November 21, 1917, in Gibson City, the daughter of Charles and Maude (White) Fulton. Graduated in 1935 from Drummer Township High School, in Gibson City. Charline married William Karl Minert on September 22, 1940 in Rockford. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Rockford, having served as deaconess for many years and Winnebago Women's Garden Club. Charline dearly loved the family outings, was an avid reader, and enjoyed cooking, gardening and attending Rock Valley College with an interest in history.
Charline is lovingly survived by her sons, Charles L. (Sandra) Minert of Chatham, Francis Marshall Minert of Winthrop, Mass., and Curtis F. (Victoria) Minert of Sycamore; daughter, Rachel Minert of Rockford; four grandchildren, Melissa (Maiki) Nesit, Kyle (Amy), Andrew and Christopher Minert; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, William Karl Minert on October 12, 2000; granddaughter, Jessica Minert; and two brothers, Francis and James Fulton.

Memorial Service is at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2009, in First Presbyterian Church, 406 N. Main St., Rockford, with a fellowship luncheon immediately following; the Rev. David W. Jones will officiate. Private burial in Winnebago Cemetery.
