Loving Wife, Mother And Best Friend
Winnebago - Christine L. Anders passed away in the loving arms of her family on September, 28, 2007, at the age of 59. Christine was bon on April 18, 1948 to Richard and Louise (Fagerstrom) Dishno. She grew up with her brothers and sister on the family farm in Pecatonica. She graduated from Durand High School and received her BA from Augustana College, and later earned her MA from St. Xavier's College in Chicago. On June 6, 1970, Christine and Wayne started a wonderful life together in marriage. She devoted her life to the education and literacy of children at Pecatonica schools. In pursuit of her passion, she touched countless lives and inspired many children. Chris was a faithful and active member of First Lutheran Church of Pecatonica. Chris actively participated in numerous church, school, and community organizations including Sunday school, Dorcas Society, Homemaker's Extension, Jayceettes and 4-H. Christine prized most spending time with her family and cherished her time with her granddaughters. She loved traveling, visiting lighthouses with Wayne, making jewelry, crafting, sewing, and scrap booking.
Christine will be remembered and cherished by her loving husband and best friend, Wayne; sons, Phillip (Kari) Anders and Nicholas (Jennifer) Anders; daughter, Jennifer Cronin; granddaughters, Briana and Shelby Anders and Annika Cronin; parents, Richard and Louise Dishno; brother, Tom (Beth) Dishno; sister, Barb Burkhart; uncle, Paul Dishno; mother-in-law, Nell Gifford and numerous nieces and nephews. Christine was predeceased by her brother, Richard Dishno and brother-in-law, Allan Burkhart.

Service is at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 2, 2007, in First Lutheran Church, 218 E. 6th St., Pecatonica, with the Rev. Thomas Jacoby officiating. Burial in Howard Cemetery in Pecatonica. Visitation 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 1, 2007, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago.
