
Lockport - Clarissa Schauer, 65, of Lockport, died Saturday, March 28, 2015, in Lakewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Plainfield. Born December 27, 1949, in Chicago, the daughter of Lewis and Pauline (Winienski) Schauer. Clarissa married Albert Martin in 1974; later they divorced, but remained very good friends. A gentle soul, she was an animal lover and was very artistic and enjoyed crafting.
Clarissa is lovingly survived by her previous husband, Al Martin of Rockford; son, Kenneth (Tania) Martin of Beaverton, Ore.; grandchildren, Jonathan Martin, Joseph Cook and Alexis Martin of Beaverton; sisters, Wilma Louise Clark of Lockport, with whom Clarissa lived, and Joanne Fedder of Plainfield; brother, Sonny (Pam) Schauer of Lockport; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Virginia Schauer, brother, Lewis Schauer; brother-in-law, Roger Clark; and sister-in-law, Angie Schauer.

Service is at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 4, 2015, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago, with the Rev. Larry Moody, pastor of Burritt Community Church, Rockford, officiating. Burial in North Burritt Cemetery, Winnebago. Visitation 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 3, 2015, in the funeral home.
