Obituary for Delores "Dee" Ann Swigart
Winnebago Delores Dee Ann Swigart, 76, of Winnebago passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born December 7, 1939 in Rockford the daughter of James Morris and Anna Maxine Rasmussen Calhoun. She attended White Country School and graduated from Winnebago High School in 1957. Dee married James Lee Swigart on July 3, 1959 at the First Presbyterian Church in Winnebago. Together Dee and Jim owned and operated the family owned business DYNA-KLEEN of Rockford where she was the secretary for many years. A member of the First Presbyterian Church of Winnebago and she was awarded the Presbyterian Womens honorary life membership. Dee loved watching her grandchildrens sporting events, cooking, baking, gardening and doing things for other people cookouts, campfires, boating, having family and friends at their summer home in Lake Waubesa in McFarland, WI walking on the beach and collecting sea shells while vacationing in Fort Myers Beach, FL.

There was nothing Dee loved more than entertaining her grandchildren, nephews and nieces at her pool where most of them learned to swim. Aunt Dee Dee and grandma was special to all of them.

Dee is lovingly survived by her husband, Jim of Winnebago; son, Brad (Beth) Swigart of Winnebago; daughter Traci (Rick Millard) Hohlfelder of Winnebago; grandchildren, James Brandon Swigart of Winnebago, Ryan Swigart of Winnebago, Valerie Hohlfelder of Denver, CO, Katie (Garrett) Hollis, Roscoe; brother, James Mick (Arlene) Calhoun of Rockford; sisters, Patricia Cline of Winston-Salem, NC, Shirley (Art) Burkhart of Winnebago, Karen (Rick Evleth) Koch of Sarasota, FL; numerous nephews and nieces; many close friends; her loyal companion, Annie.

Dee is predeceased by her parents; brother, LeRoy Calhoun; brother-in-law Rayford Cline; nephew, Randy Burkhart.

Funeral Information

Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago with Pastor Carroll Smith of the First Presbyterian Church in Winnebago officiating. Burial in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery near Pecatonica. Visitation 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016 in the funeral home.
