
Obituary for Diane Rose Steva
Rockford - Diane Rose Steva, 65, formerly of Erie, PA, died suddenly on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Wesley Willows, Willows Arbor assisted living in Rockford. She was born in Erie, PA on September 25, 1953, the daughter of Donald George and Betty Gayle (Hall) Steva. Diane was a graduate of McDowell High School in Erie, PA, Class of 1971 and Edinboro University in Edinboro, PA, with a BA in Music Education. She attended the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. She was employed as a Nursing Assistant/ Housekeeper at Presbyterian Lodge in Erie.
She was a member of Middle Creek Presbyterian Church in Winnebago and past member of New Hope Presbyterian Church, where she was an ordained deacon and the First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant both in Erie, PA. She loved to play the viola and performed in many concerts, as well as playing at churches and for residents at nursing homes and assisted living facilities. She truly loved music.
Diane’s family would like to thank the staff at Wesley Willows and the members of Middle Creek Presbyterian Church for their friendship and loving care.
Diane is survived by her brother, Patrick F. (Anita) Steva of Winnebago; step-mother, Jayne Steva of Garden Grove, CA; sister-in-law, Iris Hubsmith of Dietrich, ID; nephew, Christopher Steva of Herndon, VA; niece, Elizabeth (Steven) Anderson and much adored great-nephews, Matthew, John, and Adam Anderson all of Macedonia, OH; several aunts and cousins.
Diane is predeceased by her parents, Donald and Betty Steva; brother, Donald M. Steva.
Friends are invited to a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018, with a memorial visitation starting at 10:00 a.m., at Middle Creek Presbyterian Church, 12473 Montague Rd., Winnebago with Rev. Dr. Anita Stuart-Steva officiating. Cremation rites accorded with interment at Dunn Valley Cemetery, in McKean Township, PA.
