Obituary for Donald Mark Hubbartt
Winnebago - Donald Mark Hubbartt, 62, of Winnebago, died Saturday, January 11, 2014, in Rockford Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. Born March 15, 1951, in Rockford, the son of Donald S. and Mary Jo (Ware) Hubbartt. Graduated from Winnebago High School in 1969, attended Rock Valley College and then served in the National Guard. Upon graduating from high school, Mark worked at Dubuque Meats, and then became an independent meat wholesaler, operating Hub's Meats. He also obtained his real estate brokerage license, and enjoyed dabbling in the real estate market. Mark served on the Village of Winnebago board and remained active with the community's issues and concerns. He always enjoyed visiting with his friends and will be dearly missed.
Mark is lovingly survived by his mother, Mary Jo Hubbartt of Winnebago; brother, Michael Bruce (Ginny) Hubbartt of Ashmore; sister, Barbara Hubbartt of Winnebago; nieces, Suzanna and Rachel Hubbartt of Charleston; uncle, Charles E. Ware of Panama City, Fla; aunt, Esther Bast of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Don, on October 7, 2000.

Service is at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 16, 2014, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago, with the Rev. Steve Shullanberger, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Winnebago, officiating. Burial in Winnebago Cemetery. Visitation 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2014, in the funeral home.
