
Obituary for Duane F. Falconer
Winnebago - Duane F. Falconer, member of pioneer Winnebago family died Sunday, October 18, 2009, peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family, at age 88. Duane was born March 11, 1921, the son of Harry and Leta (Simpson) Falconer. Being orphaned at an early age, Duane was raised by Fred and Kate (Falconer) Two. He graduated from Winnebago High School in 1940. Duane married his wife, Vivian Milani, in 1946. Together they farmed in the Winnebago area for 63 years. Duane drove school bus for the Winnebago School District for 30 years, was a member of Farm Bureau, past member of the Win-Bur-Sew Fire Department and was Winnebago township assessor for a number of years.

To Cheryl, his hospice nurse and the professionals at VNA that touched his life for the past two years - thank you. To his CNAs, Shelly and Beverly for their cheerful visits brightened his day - thank you. To Mike who has been his RN for the past year, your professional and compassionate care exceeded all our expectations - thank you.
Duane is lovingly survived by his wife, Vivian; devoted daughters, Karen (Steve) Davis and Janis Giles; brother, Doral; and cousins, Helen Reganti and Vicki and Tom Bork.

Private graveside service will be held in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago. Visitation 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2009, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago.
