Davis Junction - Dustin D. Light, 35, of Davis Junction, died April 13, 2016, in his home. Born July 18, 1980, in Rockford, the son of Donnie Light and Colleen (Lofquist) Mattes. He attended school in Winnebago and Pecatonica. Dustin was an avid fisherman; loved nature, animals of all kinds, and the outdoors. In addition, he loved science and exploring. Most importantly, Dustin cherished his family and beloved friends, and will be greatly missed by all.
Dustin is lovingly survived by his parents, Donnie (Barb) Light of Davis Junction and Colleen (Darren) Mattes of Pecatonica; brother, Adam Light of Pecatonica; grandparents, Pat Lofquist of Rockford, Albert and Mary Light of New Milford, and Nancy Gibson of Davis Junction; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by grandparents, Ronald Lofquist, Lawrence Gibson, and Joan and Winston Mattes.

Gathering of family and friends from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 18, 2016 in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago. A private service will be held for family and close friends. Cremation rites have been accorded.
