
Winnebago - Dwight L. Woodruff, 91, of Winnebago died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011 after a long illness. Born Dec. 24, 1919 in Monroe Center the son of George and Georgia (Fleming) Woodruff. Graduated from Pecatonica High School in 1937. Dwight married Jeannette E. Winter in Freeport Sept. 1, 1949. He farmed his entire life in the Winnebago/Pecatonica area and was an associate director of the Winnebago County Soil and Water Conservation District.
Dwight is lovingly survived by sons, George Woodruff of Winnebago, Michael (Lana) Woodruff of Cleveland, Tenn., Scott (Andrea) Woodruff of Oreana; daughters, Nancy (Rod) Kloster of Brodhead, Wis., Pat (Duane) Chamberlin of Belvidere; four grandsons; one great-grandson; brother, Lee (Carol) Woodruff of Prior Lake, Minn.; sister-in-law, Beatrice Woodruff of Pearl City; several nephews and nieces Predeceased by wife, Jeannette on Oct. 22, 1987; brothers, Charles and Wales; sisters, Pearl, Ellen and Belle.
Funeral Information
Service at 10:00 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago, the Rev. Steve Shullanberger, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Winnebago, will officiate. Burial 2:00 p.m. Monday in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport. Visitation 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23 in the funeral home.
