
Obituary for Herschel R. Landolt
Rockford - Herschel R. Landolt, 91, of Rockford, died Wednesday, August 7, 2013, in Medina Nursing Center, Durand, after a short illness. Born September 30, 1921, in Pocahontas, the son of John A. and Ella B. (Keilback) Landolt. Graduated from Pecatonica High School in 1939. Herschel married Imogene R. "Jean" Buckley on July 5, 1940, in St. Charles, Missouri. He was an excavator for over 25 years, a member of the Winnebago Masonic Lodge 745 AF AM for over 60 years, and an antique dealer with Jean for over 20 years.
Herschel is lovingly survived by his sister, Geraldine (William) Glenny of Winnebago; special cousin, Jim Keilback of Winnebago; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; wife, Jean, on December 10, 2010; daughter, Mary Louise Brewer; grandson, John Brewer; and nephew, Rev. Dr. Richard Glenny.
Funeral Information
Service at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2013, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Nephew, Dr. Edward Glenny will officiate. Burial in Willwood Burial Park, Rockford.
