Loving Wife and Mother, and Good Friend

Rockford - Imogene R. "Jean" Landolt, 86, of Rockford, died Friday, December 10, 2010, in her home. Born July 3, 1924, in Fort Supply, Okla., the daughter of the Rev. Roy and Cybil (Dorsey) Buckley. Jean married Herschel R. Landolt on July 5, 1940, in St. Charles, Mo. She worked in the office of Singer Zone Center and then Strandquist Motors. Jean's passion was being a homemaker, caring for her home and cooking for her family. She enjoyed being in the antique business with Herschel, for 25 years.

Jean is lovingly survived by her husband, Hershel Landolt of Rockford; sisters, Shirley (Roger) Sellenschulter of St. Charles, Mo., Betty Murphy of Lafayette, La., and Donna Dow of Texas; several nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Hazel Peters of Freeport. She was predeceased by her parents and daughter, Mary Brewer.

Funeral Information

Service is at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 15, 2010, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Nephews, the Rev. Dr. W. Edward Glenny and the Rev. Dr. Richard Glenny will officiate. At Jean's request, cremation rites will be accorded.
