
Obituary for Isla J. Morgan Dexter
Byron - Isla J. Morgan Dexter, 91, of Byron, formerly of Rockford, died Sunday morning, March 19, 2006, in Beloit Health Rehab Center, in Beloit, Wis. Born August 26, 1914, in Great Falls, Montana, the daughter of Ensign S. and Emma (Hoffman) Morgan. Isla attended Poplar Grove High School and was a 1933 graduate from Belvidere High School. She lived in the Rockford area since 1929, coming here from Stevens Point, WI. Isla married Bernard Dexter on September 1, 1972 in Evergreen Covenant Church. He died January 27, 1989. She was employed by North Main Animal Hospital for 30 years. Isla most enjoyed visiting with friends, including her friends at Evergreen Covenant Church and First Church of the Brethren. She also enjoyed country living, gardening, and playing her organ.
