
Obituary for Jacquelin F. Halley
Winnebago - Jacquelin F. Halley, 84, of Winnebago, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010, in Medina Manor, Durand, after a short illness. Born April 26, 1925, in Sublette, the daughter of Clarence Joseph and Georgia (Pohl) Frey. Graduated from West High School in 1943. Jacquelin married Charles S. Halley on September 20, 1947, in Grace Methodist Church, Rockford. She was a secretary at the Rockford Board of Education for 27 years. Jacquelin was a charter member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and a past Matron of the Eastern Star, Loves Park. She enjoyed quilting and reading.
Jacquelin is lovingly survived by her husband, Charles Halley of Winnebago; daughter, Deborah Halley of Alexandria, Virginia; and nieces, Judy Speziale of Denham Springs, La., and Cathy Longwell and Mona Evans, both of Baton Rouge, La. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Rolland Frey.

Graveside service is at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2010 in Owen Center Cemetery, , Latham Road, Rockford, with the Rev. Dr. George E. David, pastor of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, officiating. At Jacquelin's request, cremation rites were accorded.
