
Obituary for James W. Schultz
Winnebago - James W. "Jim" Schultz, 72, of Winnebago, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012, in Provena St. Anne Center, Rockford. Born March 23, 1939, in Rockford, the son of Bill and Angie (Margason) Schultz. Jim married Lois Cunningham on December 17, 1961, in First Presbyterian Church, Winnebago. He was a machinist and truck driver, retiring in 2002. Jim was a volunteer firefighter at Win-Bur-Sew Fire Department for 17 years, a member of the Winnebago Lions Club and was a Boy Scout troop leader when his boys were young. An outdoorsman at heart, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
Jim is lovingly survived by his wife, Lois Schultz; sons, Brad (Sandee) Schultz of Mabelvale, Ark., and Scott (Lori) Schultz and Andy (Jody) Schultz, both of Winnebago; grandchildren, Brandie and Rachel Schultz, Nicholas and Neil Schultz, Nicholas (Stephanie) Vettore, Joshua McNames, Kelsey Phillips, and Joseph Schultz; siblings, Jay (Chris) Schultz, Bob (Judy) Schultz, Bill (Marlene) Schultz, Ellen (Tom) Erdman, Kay (Don) Thomas, and Dewayne (Denise) Schultz; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents.
Funeral Information
Visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2012, with private service following, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago; the Rev. Steve P. Shullanberger, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Cremation rites were accorded.
