Winnebago - Jayne E. Rowley, 91, of Winnebago, died Wednesday morning, October 22, 2008, in Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born March 8, 1917, in Ashton, the daughter of Fred and Elva (Arbogast) Kliebe. Jayne married John Henry Rowley on June 26, 1937, in Rockford. She lived the majority of her life on the farm in Winnebago. Jayne worked at Quaker Oats in the cafeteria and packaging. Jayne loved to bake and cook for her family and have people stop by to visit for a cup of coffee. She loved listening to old time country music, sitting on her porch in the summer-time, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson, Marshal.
Jayne is lovingly survived by her two sons, Robert (Michelle "Shelly" Moen) Rowley and Jack (Vicky) Rowley, both of Winnebago; grandchildren, Aaron (Trisha Paul) Rowley of Holcomb, and Tracy (Mike) Groves of Pecatonica; great-grandson, Marshal Groves of Pecatonica; dear brother, Robert (Jeanette) Kliebe of Winnebago, sisters-in-law, Jennie Kliebe of Winnebago, Jan Kliebe of Idaho, and Merle Rogensack of Rockford; brother-in-law, Fred Scroggins of Machesney Park; nine nieces and three nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, John Rowley on September 17, 2002; brothers, Virgil, Wayne, and Kenny; sisters, Ila, June and Renae.
Funeral Information
Visitation is 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, October 25, 2008, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago. Private graveside service at Starkey Union Cemetery, in Rockford, with the Rev. Dr. William Richard Kerr, Sr., pastor of Riverside Community Church, officiating.
