Obituary for Jimmie "Jim" Dean Keilback
Winnebago – Jimmie “Jim” Dean Keilback, 85, of Winnebago, on Thursday, October 19, 2017, the love of his life, Jane, called him to heaven to be with her. Born May 2, 1932 in Paola, Kansas the son of George Joseph and Miriam E. (Branch) Keilback. Jim married Jane Marie Hoover on November 19, 1949 in Stillman Valley. They were married sixty four years before her passing away on July 25, 2013. Jim was a proud, lifetime member of the Local 150 Operating Engineers. He was a heavy equipment operator and was self-employed at Landolt and Keilback Excavating Company and then later worked for Northwest Construction and other union companies. He also was self-employed as a licensed plumber as J & L Service in Winnebago. He was member of the Winnebago Masonic Lodge since 1957. He coached little league baseball. Jim’s garden was an acre in size where he enjoyed vegetable and especially flower gardening. One year his garden was recognized as being toured by the Winnebago Garden Club. He also enjoyed fishing, most often on the Sugar River, 5:00 a.m. coffee at the Winnebago McDonalds and was handy being able to fix most anything. Jim will be missed by all.

Jim is lovingly survived by his children, Paul (Lucille) Keilback, Terry (Marcee) Keilback, Randy (Karen) Keilback and Kelly (Ken) Sabien all of Winnebago; grandchildren, John, Greg, Stephanie (Matt), Ryan, Kori, Alex, Katie and Konner; great-grandchildren, Ely, R.J., Jackson, Catherine; brother-in-law, Alan (Diana) Hoover; sister-in-law, Ruth Plock; many nephews and nieces; special friend Linda Black; his best buddy “Dodge”.

Jim is predeceased by his parents; wife, Jane Keilback; daughter-in-law, Dee Keilback.

Funeral Information

Memorial service 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 30, 2017, with a memorial visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. at Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago with Pastor Tim Spickler of New Life Bible Church in Winnebago officiating. Cremation rites accorded.
