
Obituary for Keith K. Gallup
Egan - Keith K. Gallup, 81, a lifelong resident of Egan, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, November 30, 2006, in Neighbors Nursing Home. Born July 3, 1925, in Egan, the son of Clifford and Vera (Knapp) Gallup. He graduated from Leaf River High School and entered the Army in December, 1943, serving with General MacArthur's headquarters in the Philippines and Japan until April, 1946. Keith worked the family farm with his brother, Don, and retired from the Post Office having been a rural mail carrier for forty years. He was a longtime member of Egan United Brethren Church and then a member of North Grove Christian Church. Keith loved to fish and travel, but his real passion was bowling and golf.
Keith is lovingly survived by his wife of 63 years, Virginia Gallup of Egan, children, Edward (Midge) Gallup of West Bend, Wis., Gary (Liebgard) Gallup of The Villages, Fla., Robert (Kara) Gallup of Egan and Roger (Stephanie) of Glenwood Springs, Colo., grandchildren, Eric, Christopher (Christina), Matthew (Stacie), Amber, Sophia, and Bettina Gallup, Beate (John) Lutkenhouse and Manuela (Steve) Wheeler, eight great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, sister, Bernice Hagemann of Phoenix, Ariz., brother, Donald (Alene) Gallup of Egan and many nieces and nephews.
Keith was predeceased by his parents and his daughter, Janette Gallup on April 18, 1958.

Service is at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 5, 2006, North Grove Christian Church, 11702 N. Mt. Morris Road, in Leaf River, with the Rev. Carlton K. Easley officiating. Private Burial in Egan Cemetery. Keith's family was assisted by Genandt Funeral Home, 145 Church St., German Valley.
