Obituary for Kelvin Paul Swanson
Kelvin Paul Swanson, 58, of Rockford, died Monday, December 13, 2021, at his home. He was born July 11, 1963 in Rockford, the son of James Paul and Paula Marie (Meyer) Swanson.

Kelvin or as his friends would say “Mel” was an energetic and work oriented soul who enjoyed people and making a difference for those around him. He would fondly recall stories from his routes with Didier Greenhouse as he would deliver flowers near and far. He cherished maintaining relationships or building new ones, in a style uniquely his own. His passion was to see his son, Dylan aspiring to be all that he could be. He was a proud father, reliable friend and a precious member of family, either by blood or allegiance.

Kelvin is survived by his son, Dylan Swanson of Rockford; mother, Paula Swanson of Rockford; brother, Scot (June) Swanson of Kennesaw, GA; niece, Alice Swanson of Detroit, MI.

Kelvin is predeceased by his father, Jim Swanson; sister, Jolene Swanson.
