Winnebago - Kevin A. Eichler, 55, of Winnebago, died Monday, February 22, 2010, in his home, unexpectedly. Born January 17, 1955, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Bruce and Marilyn (Carlson) Eichler. Graduated from Dundee Community High School and Illinois State University, Bloomington-Normal. Married Sarah Moyado on October 21, 2005, in Galena. Previously employed in agriculture sales, focusing currently in law enforcement, as a police officer with the Rockford Park District for one year. Served as a volunteer for the Stephenson County Sheriff's Department and was an active member of the Second Infantry Division WWII Reenactment Unit. Enjoyed restoring WWII Jeeps and other vehicles and was a WWII history buff.
Kevin is lovingly survived by his wife, Sarah Eichler; children, Ariel and Carla Eichler; Charity (James) Shaw and Christopher (Amy) DeBrocke; grandchildren, Gavyn, Owen and Finn Shaw, and Andrew, Alexis and Selina DeBrocke; brothers, Philip and Jeffery Eichler; sister, Sue Eichler; dear friends, Roger and Mary Hill, Dr. Bob Jarrett, and Keith Dimmick. Predeceased by parents and brother Tim Eichler.

Service is at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 25, 2010, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time; Pastor Tim Spickler of New Life Bible Church, Winnebago, will officiate. Cremation Rites will be accorded.
