Obituary for LuVerne H. Merrell
Rockford - LuVerne H. Merrell, 92, of Rockford, died Saturday, February 5, 2011, in River Bluff Nursing Home, Rockford. Born July 27, 1918 in Swanville, Minn., the daughter of Nicholas G. and Ruby C. (Aleshire) Schrupp. LuVerne married Henry J. Merrell on September 14, 1936 in Little Falls, Minn. She was a former member of Berean Baptist Church in Rockford. LuVerne enjoyed garage saleing, sewing and gardening.
LuVerne is lovingly survived by her sons, Daro (JoAn) Merrell of Winnebago and Eugene (Abbie) Merrell of Rockford; daughter, Doris Frazer of Rockford; five granddaughters and four grandsons; eighteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Lyle (Dolly) Schrupp of Radcliffe, Ky. and Darwin Schrupp of Arlington, Texas; sister, Lola (Clarence) Schlenner of Litchfield, Minn. She was predeceased by her husband, on March 27, 1982; daughter, Shirley Miller, on July 20, 1998; son-in-law, Tom Frazer; brothers, Laurel, Cecil and Gerald Schrupp; and sister, Arla Kuehne.

Service is at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2011 in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago, with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until service time; Pastor Mark G. Swanson, of Berean Baptist Church, Rockford, will officiate. Burial in Willwood Burial Park, Rockford.
