
Obituary for Margaret L. Jones
Winnebago - Margaret L. "Peg" Jones, 89, of Winnebago, died Saturday afternoon, July 9, 2011, in Fair Oaks Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, South Beloit. Born on August 16, 1921, the daughter of Michael J. and Catherine M. (Ghiglieri) Roach. She graduated from Proviso Township High School, in 1940. Peg married Robert H. O'Reilly on June 5, 1942. He was a Navy pilot, who was shot down and killed on November 11, 1944, in the South Pacific during WWII. Peg married David H. Jones on April 16, 1952. Together, they operated the R.C. Larkin Co. branch in Rockford, selling industrial equipment, and then built and operated Da-Nite Equipment Co. on 20th Street, Rockford, retiring in 1981. She enjoyed painting, traveling, gardening and being outdoors.
Peg is lovingly survived by first cousins, Raymond Roach of Janesville, Wis. and Vera (Ronald) Habing of Wilmington; many other cousins; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen "Ami" (Joseph) Swiderski of Lemont; nephews, Robert Sahrencach and Jerome Andrew Sahrencach; nieces, Christine Sahrencach and Mary Ellen Shearer; and special friend Charles Meyers. She was also predeceased by her parents; sister, Nathalie Roach; and husband, Dave Jones on November 14, 2007.

Service is at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 18, 2011, in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Rockford, 1010 Ferguson St., Rockford with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until service time; the Rev. Robert Melnick will officiate. Burial in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
