Winnebago - Margaret "Peg" M. Paslay, 84, of Winnebago, died Thursday afternoon, April 20, 2006, in OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, in Rockford. Born September 1, 1921, in Gays Mills, Wis., the daughter of John and Marie (Lucey) Lagan. Graduated from Gays Mills High School. Margaret married Harry M. Paslay on April 18 1947, at St. Peter's Rectory, in Rockford. Early in their marriage, she clerked at JC Penney Co., downtown Rockford, and was employed at Barber-Coleman, in Rockford, until starting their family. Peg was a member of Holy Family Church. Always volunteering to help, she was a Cub Scout Den mother when her son was young, and throughout her life generously gave blood at the local blood bank. Peg enjoyed all the social activities at Fairview Residence and the new friends she made there.
Peg is lovingly surviving by her son, Michael Paslay of Rockford, daughter, Linda Pulizzi of Rockford, sister, Patricia (Larry) Garvey of Aurora and several nieces and nephews.
Peg was predeceased by her parents, husband, Harry Paslay, on July 4, 2002 and grandson, Brian M. Pulizzi, in 1990.

Service is at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 26, 2006, in Holy Family Church, 4407 Highcrest Road, in Rockford, with visitation from 9:00 a.m., until service time; the Rev. Dennis Atto will officiate. Private burial in McInturff Cemetery in Vandalia, IL. Visitation also at 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2006, with the recitation of the Rosary at 5:00 p.m., in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago.
