Winnebago - Marguerite "Peg" McCornock, 91, of Winnebago, died Tuesday, September 29, 2015, in Alden Debes Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Rockford. Born May 14, 1924, in Carlisle PA, the daughter of Mervin and Elizabeth (Snyder) Nailor. Peg married William "Bill" McCornock on June 28, 1947, in Pecatonica United Methodist Church. She was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church. Peg cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the family get-togethers. She enjoyed gardening in her flowerbeds.
Peg is lovingly survived by her children, Linda Conrad and Terry McCornock, both of Winnebago; grandchildren, Kevin (Wanda) Conrad of Pecatonica, Nichole (Joe) Schiro of Winnebago, Angelia (Tony) Michard of Longmont CO., Robin Johnson of Winnebago, Todd (Malinda) McCornock and Stacy (Tim) Roggensack, both of Rockford; great-grandchildren, Grandma's special angel, Dalton and Dakotah Johnson, Jordan and Teagan Conrad, Nicholas, Salvatore "Sammy", Joseph "Joey" and Michael Schiro, Cristian and Emerson Michard, and Marissa and Hannah Roggensack; sister, Gladys Dial; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, husband, Bill on May 1, 2007; son-in-law, Marvin Conrad on February 22, 2005; daughter-in-law, Sue McCornock on June 2, 2011; and 16 brothers and sisters.
Funeral Information
Service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2015, in St. John Lutheran Church, 1301 N. Jackson St., Pecatonica, with the Rev. Terry L. Theiss officiating. Burial in Willwood Burial Park in Rockford. Visitation 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2015, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago.
