Beloved Wife
Durand - Marie A. Lunde, 65, of Durand, died Friday, December 28, 2012, in Rockford Memorial Hospital, after a courageous and graceful battle with cancer. Born December 12, 1947, in Rockford, the daughter of Arthur P. and Rose A. (DalSanto) Ferro. Graduated from Boylan High School in 1965 and Rock Valley College. Marie married her soul mate of 21 years, Gary D. Lunde, on January 7, 2012. Employed by Examworks, Rockford, for 15 years. Member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Durand and past president and member of the Venetian Ladies Society of Rockford. Marie enjoyed spending time reading, crossword puzzles, working in her flower beds, and trips with Gary to their home in Arizona.
Marie is lovingly survived by her husband, Gary; stepchildren, Tammy (Peter) Beggs of Machesney Park, Sheila Brinker of Adams, Wis., Connie Brinker of Loves Park, and Bradley Lunde of Durand; stepgrandchildren, Andrew and Anthony Beggs of Machesney Park; niece, Dee Dee Plankey of Clinton, Wis.; nephews, Raymond (Julia) Vince of Roscoe and Marco Vince of Gulf Shores, Ala.; aunts and uncle, Theresa Poli of Crystal Lake and John and Ann DalSanto of Rockford; several great-nieces and -nephews; cousins and friends; and special friends, Vicki Langley and Pat Boyle, who have been her friends since grade school. Predeceased by her parents and brothers, Raymond Ferro and Angelo Vince.
Marie's family wishes to thank her visiting nurse, Nora, John and Julie Poli, Donna Dobratz, Larry and Angela Bennett, and Bill and Denise Walsh for their loving care and support. Her family also thanks everyone for their prayers and thoughts.

Service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013, in St. Mary Catholic Church, 602 W, Main Street, Durand, with the Reverend Monsignor Eric Barr officiating. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago. Visitation 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2013, with Rosary Rites to follow at 7:00 p.m., in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago.
