
Obituary for Marjorie L. Avery
Seward - Marjorie L. (Ashton) Avery, 60, of Seward, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012, in Serenity House, Oregon, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born January 10, 1952, in Rockford, the daughter of Dwight C. and Betty L. (Daris) Ashton. Marjorie married Bryce Avery on January 10, 1970. Spent 15 years bowling. Crocheted a lot of baby blankets, afghans and baby bonnets and did a variety of crafts. Thanks to her husband of 42 years; Bryce made it possible for Marjorie to be a stay-at-home mother and wife, which she really enjoyed.
Marjorie is lovingly survived by her husband, Bryce; children, Bettie L. Avery, and Raymon C. (Laura) Avery; five grandchildren, Leorena, Marnette, and Matthew Haynie and Dereck and Sarah Avery; great-granddaughter, Natalee Kunde; special friends, Brenda Van Hauen, Jeff Engle, and Don and Marge Brocker; and several nieces and nephews.

Service at 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2012, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time; the Rev. Ronald Farb, pastor of Seward Congregational Church, will officiate. Burial in Willwood Burial Park, Rockford.
