
Obituary for Mark Allen Poppen
Mark Poppen, 58, of Seward, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021. He was born September 4, 1963 in Freeport, the son of Wendell and Delores (Nieman) Poppen. He graduated from Leaf River High School in 1981. Mark was a heavy equipment operator.
Mark is survived by his son, Glen (Jamie) Poppen; granddaughter, Liberty Poppen; parents, Wendell and Delores Poppen; brothers, Kevin (Tammy) Poppen, Daren (Tonya) Poppen; step-sons, John (Ellie) Greenham, Anthony (Lea) Greenham; step-grandchildren, Keaden and Kellen Greenham; several nephews and nieces.
A celebration of life will be 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Seward Congregational Church, 3029 S. Pecatonica Rd., Seward. Cremation rites accorded. In lieu of flowers memorials will be established for Lanark Fire Protection District and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
