
Obituary for Marna Lovett
Marna Lovett passed away on February 23, 2022 after a short illness. She was born at home to Olga (Eik) Dolan in Merrill, Wisconsin on September 26, 1937. She married Leslie Lovett on January 5, 1958.
She is predeceased by her husband, Leslie; her mother, Olga; sister Doris; brothers William, Louis, and Ben; and sister of her heart, Leslie Oswald.
She is survived by sisters of her heart Betty Lameyer and Marian Pedrick; by her very special niece, Elizabeth; and by several nieces and nephews.
Marna had a Master’s Degree in Education, an Elementary Teaching Certificate, a Special Education Teaching Certificate, a Reading Specialist Certificate, and a Supervisory Certificate in Teaching. She taught elementary school and special education for 48 years at North Park, Centerville, Cherry Valley, Turner, Gonzales, Sky View, Vandercook, Summerdale, and White Swan schools. She also spent several years serving as a Special Education Consultant to private and parochial schools in Rockford. Marna never met a child she didn't like or a class that she didn't enjoy.
