Obituary for Mary E. McDonald
Byron - Mary E. McDonald, 84, of Byron, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013, in The Neighbors Rehabilitation Center, Byron, after a lengthy illness. Born February 1, 1929, in Aurora, the daughter of Karl and Elizabeth (Seinwill) Enge. She graduated from Winnebago High School in 1947. Mary married William G. McDonald on February 12, 1949, and moved to the family farm where they lived before relocating to Byron in 2006. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Byron. Mary was a homemaker and loved flowers, having worked as a floral designer at Fourth Street Greenhouse. She also loved antiquing and traveling.

Mary is lovingly survived by her husband of 64 years, William; son, Charles (Sue) McDonald; daughter, Anne (Jim) Rezich; grandchildren, Chad (Wendy) Krzyzek, Nick (Tara) Rezich, Daniel (Andrea) Rezich, Jill (Nick) Bons, and Tom (Michele) McDonald; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers, Guenther (Lillian) and Carl (Kathy) Enge. She was predeceased by her daughter, Julie E. Chamberlin and grandson, Tyler N. Krzyzek.

Funeral Information

Mass of Christian Burial is at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2013, in St. Mary Catholic Church, 220 E. Second St., Byron, with the Rev. Howard Barch officiating. Burial in St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery, Seward. Visitation 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, June 16, 2013, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago.
