Limestone, IL Mary Ellen Jackson, 95, of Limestone, IL went Home Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in the Prairie View Assisted Living Community in Winnebago, IL. Born August 1, 1921 in Milton, IA the daughter of Karl M. and Emma Jane (Olinger) Conner. Graduated from Milton High School in 1939. Mary Ellen married Orman Paul 'Pete' Tatman of Milton, IA June 9, 1939. He died in April of 1973. She married Allan Miller Jackson Sr. on June 6, 1977 in Byron, IL. He died in May of 2014. A highlight for her and sister Bethel was being a part of the Milton High School basketball team. She played the piano and violin, loved fishing, camping and nature. Working as a dental assistant was rewarding for her. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Streator and volunteer at the Blood Bank. Mary Ellen most loved being a mom, spending time with family, the Lord and serving Him.
Mary Ellen is survived by her daughter, Betty (Bruce) Carby of Byron; grandchildren, Terrell (Terri) Carby, Laura (Rob) Petrie, Lanette Tatman, Brian Tatman, Shawn Tatman; five great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Mary Ellen's stepchildren include Lennie (Pat) Jackson, Allan Jackson Jr. and Virginia Zachgo.
Mary Ellen is predeceased by her sons, Orman Paul 'Butch' Tatman, Gary Lee Tatman; brother Earl Conner ; sisters Naomi Downing, Bethel Robertson.

Graveside memorial service to be at a later date. Cremation rites accorded with interment at the Milton Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton, IA. Arrangements by Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago.
