
Obituary for Mary Ellen Malosh
Winnebago - Mary Ellen Malosh, 83, of Winnebago, died Saturday evening, January 21, 2006, in Medina Nursing Center, in Durand, after a lengthy illness. Born March 14, 1922, in Davis, the daughter of Arthur Anthony and Mary (Stinson) Mullarky. Graduated from Pecatonica High School in 1941. Mary Ellen married Lloyd G. Falconer on September 21, 1942, in Jennings, Mo. Together, they farmed many years near Winnebago, retiring in 1978. Mary Ellen was a cook for the Rockford public schools several years. Lloyd died on August 5, 1982. Mary Ellen married Arnold Malosh on June 27, 1987, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Pecatonica. She enjoyed traveling with Arnold to Texas and to California, besides shopping and gardening. Mary Ellen loved her grandchildren and the family gatherings.
Mary Ellen is lovingly survived by her husband, Arnold Malosh of Winnebago, son, Perry G. (Connie White) Falconer of Pecatonica, stepchildren, Joyce (Robert) Sumner of Roscoe and Ed (Anne) Malosh of Chippewa Falls, Wis., grandsons, Brad and Troy Falconer, stepgrandchildren, Christine (Jeffrey) Wenger, Jeffrey Sumner, Sarah (Peter) Scott and Daniel (Amy) Malosh, stepgreat-grandchildren, Aidan Scott and Samuel Wenger, and nieces and nephews.
Mary Ellen was also predeceased by her parents, brother, LaVerne Mullarky and sisters, Irene Karsk and Genevieve Stringer.
Funeral Information
Service is at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2006, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago, with visitation 12:00 p.m. until service time. Burial in Winnebago Cemetery, in Winnebago.
