
Obituary for Michael S. Douglas
Byron - Michael S. Douglas, 53, of Byron, died Monday afternoon, August 20, 2007, in SwedishAmerican Hospital, after a short illness. Born October 5, 1953, in Manitowoc, Wis., the son of David and Mary (VanderZanden) Douglas. Graduated from Lake Forest Academy, in Lake Forest, and then attended Drake University, in Iowa. He was a self-employed financial trader, doing business as MSI Trading. Michael enjoyed golf, the Green Bay Packers, Chicago White Sox, polka and grilling, especially brats.
Michael is survived by his children, Sean Douglas of Los Angeles, Joshua Douglas of Schaumburg, Amanda Douglas of Lake Forest and Jonathon and Nathan Douglas of Fort Worth, Texas; mother, Mary Taylor, of Green Bay, Wis.; stepmother, Maxine Douglas of Palm Desert, Calif.; brother, Robert Douglas of Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters, Susan (Michael) Edwards of Green Bay and Christine Douglas of Tucson, Ariz.; loving companion, Lori Stephens and her children, Brooke, Nick and Daniel, all of Byron,and special friends, Bob Knorr of Rockton and Mike and Mary Ann Cotti of Rockford.
Michael was predeceased by his father and his brother, David Douglas.

Memorial gathering at 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 26, 2007, with dedication service at 1:00 p.m., at Lori's home, in Byron. Cremation rites were accorded.
