
Obituary for Mildred L. Morse King
Winnebago - Mildred L. Morse King, 94, of Winnebago, died Sunday night, April 27, 2008. Born September 5, 1913, in Beloit, Wis., the daughter of Ernest and Ruth (Winebrenner) Morse. She graduated from Rockford Central High School and OSF St. Anthony Hospital's nursing program in 1934. Mildred married Kenneth J. King on June 6, 1937, in Rockford. She was a former board member of Illinois Growth Enterprises and a past member of the Eastern Star.
Mildred was lovingly survived by her sons, Robert (Susan) King and Jim (Joyce) King of Winnebago, and Charles (Karen) King and Richard (Cheryl) King of Elgin; daughter, Ruth Ann King of Winnebago; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth King on October 7, 1994; twin, Wesley Morse; and granddaughter, Clarissa King on November 17, 1988.

Visitation is 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2008, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago At Mildred's request, cremation rites were accorded.
