Obituary for Nell L. Gifford
Rockford - Nell L. Gifford, 83, of Rockford, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015, in her home. Born June 17, 1931, in Richmond, Va., the daughter of John and Nora (Reese) McFadden. Nell retired from her profession that she had a passion for, a live-in caregiver for the elderly. She enjoyed painting, sewing, decorating and reading books.
Nell is survived by her sons, Ralph "Wayne" Anders, Richard Anders, Russell (Brenda) Anders and Jeffery (Tess) Anders; 11 wonderful grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Michael; sisters, Frances and Betty; all of which she loved and love her dearly. She will be truly missed by her family and many close friends. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Nichole; daughter-in-law, Christine; brothers, James, Burl and Walt; and sister, Hattie.
Nell's family extends its deepest gratitude for the love shown to her by her friends, Linda, Bette, Bonnie and Elaine.

Service is at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial in Howard Cemetery, Pecatonica.
