
Obituary for Rena M. Reeverts
Byron - Rena M. Reeverts, 94, of Byron, died Friday, May 11, 2012, in Serenity Hospice Home, Oregon, after a brief illness. Born June 24, 1917, in Byron, the daughter of Fred and Anna (Ehmen) Reeverts. She attended Whitaker Country School in Byron. Rena was a sorter at CamCar, Rockford, for 20 years, and a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church, Oregon. Rena was a true cat lover, known to drive to the farm to feed the cats. She also enjoyed embroidering.
Rena is lovingly survived by nieces, Phyllis (Dick) Cain of Byron and Sharon (Dick) Rupprecht of Winnebago; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and special friends, Dave and Theresa Papenfuss of Byron. Predeceased by her parents; sister, Jennie (Henry) Schroder; brothers, Fred and Dan Reeverts; and nephew, Kenneth Reeverts.

Service at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago, with visitation from 1:00 p.m. until service time; the Rev. Brion Brooks, pastor of Ebenezer Reformed Church, will officiate. Burial in Middle Creek Cemetery, Winnebago.
