
Obituary for Sharon V. Britsch
German Valley - Sharon V. Britsch, 77, died Thursday, January 2, 2014, in Willows Health Care, Rockford, after a lengthy illness. Born May 15, 1936, in Kings, the daughter of Edward and Carolyn (Burdell) Treat. Graduated from Rochelle High School in 1954. Sharon married Eugene J. "Gene" Britsch on April 28, 1962, in Seward. She worked at Pinecrest Manor, Mount Morris for several years and was a 50-year plus member of the Isabel Chapter 322 Order of Eastern Star, Lena. Sharon loved to bake, spoiling Gene and neighbors with her baked goods. She also enjoyed word-find puzzles, jig-saw puzzles, and Country music, but her pride and joy were her four grandsons.
Sharon is lovingly survived by her daughter, Denise Sneek of German Valley; son, Keith Britsch of Oregon; grandsons, Brandon Sneek and Caleb Paddie, both of German Valley; and Nathan and Blake Britsch, both of Oregon; and three very supportive sister-in-laws, Ruby, Connie and Deb. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Gene, on January 14, 1996; and brother, Jack Treat.
Sharon's family would like to thank all the many nurses and staff along the way, including Hospice Care of America for their loving care and support.
Funeral Information
Service is at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2014, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time, with Order of the Eastern Star Rites at 9:30 a.m. The Rev. David Bordy, pastor of Seward Congregational Church will officiate. Burial in Adeline Cemetery.
