
Obituary for Virginia Snyder
Rockford - Virginia "Ginny" Snyder, 74, of Rockford, died Saturday, November 21, 2015, in her home, following a short illness. Born September 9, 1941, in Samson, WI, the daughter of Phillip and Loletta (Slayton) Burke. Graduated from West High School in 1959. Ginny married Donald R. Snyder on April 27, 1963, in Beth Eden United Methodist Church, Rockford. A true homemaker, she enjoyed crafting and baking. In addition, Ginny was an avid bowler for 42 years. She dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren at home and at their sporting events.
Ginny is lovingly survived by her husband, Don; daughter, Sara (Michael) McCracken of Machesney Park; son, Thomas (Stephanie) Snyder of Pecatonica; grandchildren, Mitch and Mylee McCracken and Alex and Michelle Snyder; brother, Rev. Phillip (Faye) Burke; sisters, Sonja (Frank) Henry and Jean Lage; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and sister, Lois James.

Service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time; the Rev. Katie Voigt, pastor of Pecatonica United Methodist Church, Pecatonica, will officiate. Burial in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery, Pecatonica. Visitation also from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2015, in the funeral home.
