
Obituary for Wayne H. Weatherhead
Winnebago - Wayne H. Weatherhead, 86, a lifelong Winnebago resident, died Saturday evening, February 25, 2006, in his home, after a lengthy illness. Born April 16, 1919 in Rockford, the son of James and Mabel (Hilton) Weatherhead. He attended Winnebago High School. Wayne married Dorothy Brennecke on September 1, 1945, in Rockford. Together, they farmed many years. He then was a heavy equipment operator for the Winnebago County Highway Dept. for 16 years, retiring in April, 1983. An avid sports fan, Wayne also enjoyed playing euchre, hunting and fishing.
Wayne is lovingly survived by his wife, Dorothy Weatherhead of Winnebago, daughters, Louise (Gerald) Saack of Roscoe and Rita (Porter) Roach of Springfield, Tenn., grandsons, Rob Becker of Rockford and Scott (Iris) Becker of Keller, Tex., and greatgrandson, Alexander Becker of Keller.
Wayne was predeceased by his parents and twin sisters, Margery Weatherhead and Margeret Pixler.
Funeral Information
At Wayne's request, cremation rites were accorded and no service will be held.
