Obituary for William "Bill" Roger Mandeville Sr.
Pecatonica – William “Bill” Roger Mandeville Sr., 80, of Pecatonica, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon. Born May 28, 1938 in Rockford the son of Charles Roger and Lucille Bernice (Milhaven) Mandeville. Graduated from West High School in 1956. Bill married Anna Marie Doeden on August 1, 1959 in the First Presbyterian Church of Winnebago. Bill worked over 45 years in the heating, ventilating and air conditioning industry beginning with his father then for Carrier as a service consultant where he received multiple awards and certifications. A member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society chapter in Rockford, Winnebago Snowmobile Club, Pec-Illini 4-H and a bowling league in Rockford. Bill enjoyed his Carrier sponsored travel and traveling with Ann, especially their trip to the Panama Canal and woodworking.

Bill’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Presence Saint Joseph Center in Freeport, UW Health University Hospital in Madison, WI and Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon for their compassionate and extraordinary care.

Bill is survived by his wife of over 59 years, Ann Mandeville of Pecatonica; children, Vickie (Earl) Klinger of Pecatonica, Bill (Kathy) Mandeville of Independence, MO, Sue (Tim) Montgomery of Grove, OK; grandchildren, Kelly Watts, Beth (Jedd) Boehler, Jason (Hannah Asche) Klinger, Tori (Joseph) Smith, Dennis (Elania Huffmaster) Bowen, Billy (Angela) Mandeville, Maddie Montgomery; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy (Ken) Bodey of Englewood, FL, Joyce (Michael) Jacobi of Rockford, Jean (Michael) Manson of Machesney Park; sister-in-law, Mary Doeden of Warsaw, MO; several nephews and nieces.

Bill is predeceased by his parents; brother-in-law, Les Doeden.

Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2018, at First Presbyterian Church of Winnebago, 208 W. Winnebago St., Winnebago with Pastor Carroll Smith officiating. Interment at Winnebago Cemetery near Winnebago. Visitation 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago.
