Willie drove school bus for 23 years in the Winnebago Community School District 323 and for Head Start of Oregon. She worked for Kable News Company retiring March 1, 1990. Upon retirement Willie and Art resided in Mount Morris, IL during the summer months on the Rock River in Oregon, IL and in Ruskin, FL in the winter. She was an active member of the Mt Morris Chapter 485 Women of the Moose.
Willie always loved life! Mom was a friendly gal and loved telling her jokes to everyone. She loved her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Willie is survived by her children, Linda (Larry) Bloomquist, Cheryl (Gene) Bloomquist, Arthur (Mikki) Yates, Rick (Doreen) Yates all of Winnebago and Mark (Deb) Yates Sun City, AZ. Willie has 6 grandchildren, Amanda (Tim) McDonald, Chris (Amy) Yates, Eric Bloomquist, Michael (Nadine) Bloomquist, Rachel Maestas, Ashley (Bryan) Hutting. Willie also has 10 great-grandchildren, Addelyn, Kylie, Ella, Lily, Isaiah, Jameson, Parker, Cameron, Aiden, Skye. Many nieces and nephews, brother in-law, Gerald McGuire, sister-in-laws, Betsy Menge, Dorothy Gieser and Special High School Friend Donna Joyes.
Wylladene is predeceased by her husband Art of 68 years, grandson, Adam Yates, brother Clarence Menge, sisters Mildred Canestrare, Louise Jackson and Ruth McGuire.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Prairie View Assistant Living, Generations at Neighbors and Heartland Hospice. We will forever be grateful for the care, patience and respect that you exhibited in your care of our Mother, Grandmother.
Private family interment service at Winnebago Cemetery with Pastor Tim Spickler of New Life Bible Church officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established.
