
Obituary for Lynn G. Klinger
Rockford - Lynn G. Klinger, 70, of Rockford, formerly of Pecatonica, died Friday, August 7, 2015, in Forest City Nursing and Rehab Center, Rockford. Born June 10, 1945, in Freeport, the son of George and Helen (Guth) Klinger. Lynn served in the U.S. Army over in West Germany, repairing tanks, during the Vietnam War. Upon his discharge, he farmed in the Pecatonica area until medical issues occurred, and then moved to Rockford. Lynn always enjoyed the telephone calls with his family.
Lynn is lovingly survived by his brothers, Sidney (Janet) Klinger of Pecatonica, Wayne Klinger of Winnebago and Neil (Cindy) Klinger of Pecatonica; sister, Sandy Klinger of Rockford; sister-in-law, Judy Klinger of Pecatonica; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and brothers, Melvin and Jerry Klinger.
Funeral Information
Service at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2015, in Genandt Funeral Home, 602 N. Elida St., Winnebago, with visitation from noon until service time. Burial in Twelve Mile Grove Cemetery, Pecatonica.
